450 MW Gas Based Combined Cycle Power Project (2 x 225 mW)

Entire project is on 37 acres land (plus additional 4 acres).

The project site is located about 6 km from Kashipur town at Udham Singh Nagar district in
Uttarakhand (India)

Nearest highway is NH-74: ~6 km from project site (NH-74 connects Haridwar to Bareilly)

Strategically located close to the main Gas trunk-line allows easy access to gas required for the
project – Close proximity to the proposed 105 KM Karanpur – Moradabad – Kashipur GAIL pipeline.

High proximity to Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Ltd. (PTCUL) and Power Grid
Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL), facilitates power evacuation .

Ideally placed in the power deficit region in North India.

Project configuration consists of 4 units of Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) of 75 MW each, 4 Heat
Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) and 2 Steam turbines of 75MWcapacity.

The Company has signed PPA with UPCL (For Phase#1) for sale of 214 MW (225 ISO Conditions)
power for 25 years.

The Company has secured fuel for the project through e-bidding process conducted by Ministry of
Power, Government of India till Mar-17 and then further by signing Gas contract with GAIL
India/IOCL to meet the future needs..

Phase#1 225 MW got commissioned in Nov-2016, while Phase#2 is in advance stage of erection
and commissioning and is expected to achieve COD before March 2021..
Salient Features
The plant has been designed as an Eco friendly plant with features such as low NOx emission, zero
discharge station, rain harvesting and green cover all around the plant covering 33.3% of plant area. We
have provision to attain zero water discharge from the plant. The plant has a provision of all safety and
security systems including fire detection and fighting system and watch towers around the periphery of
the plant. The other features of the project are as below :-
